Research study wins prestigious award

Under the supervision of Lisa Brüggen and Thomas Post, Katharina Schmitz conducted a study on the "Interactivity in Online Environments - A Solution for Everyone? Exploring the appeal of interactive pension planners". In her research, she studies the effectiveness of interactivity in online pension planners. She find a positive effect of interactivity on the number of clicked options, as well as participants’ intention to check their personal pension situation in the upcoming three to six months. Whereas men in the highly interactive condition perceive the information contained in the pension planner to be more useful and easy to use than men in the other two conditions, the tendency for women points towards a preference for low and medium levels of interactivity compared to high levels of interactivity.
