Wiebke Eberhardt defends here PhD thesis

Pension communication researcher Wiebke Eberhardt successfully defended her PhD thesis.

In her thesis "Costly Ignorance – Enhancing Consumer Financial Decision Making" Wiebke studies (1) why many pension plan participants are not active and do not inform themselves about their future pensions, (2) how the framing of pension communication can make participants more active, and (3) how aeging and financial decision-making are related.

Congratulations Wiebke to that great achievement!

In the future Wiebke will continue to study financial decision-making at her new position as Postdoc researcher at the Department of Finance and the BISS (Business Intelligence & Smart Services) Institute at Maastricht University.
